In April 2012, as part of Milan’s, Salone del Mobile, the largest furniture fair in the world, Zuzunaga created its first full design exhibition, Outside In, held at Ventura Lambrate.

The company has shown products at the fair before, but this was our first time to launch our own exhibition in Milan. Held in the trendy Lambrate District, Outside In showcased a bright, colourful and architectonic collection of Zuzunaga products, inviting the public into our world exploring the relationship between digital imagery and traditional craftsmanship.

Our collaboration with Teixidors, Integrate: Time and Space, formed the heart of the exhibition. Two craftsmen created the fabrics for the new collection on site on a wooden loom. This enabled visitors to see how our products are made.

The exhibition also unveiled Zuzunaga’s new colour collection for Danish rug manufacturer Danskina. Cristian Zuzunaga created four new colourways, inspired by Barcelona, to celebrate the 25th-anniversary of the Bravoure rug.

Also exhibited was our entire range of Zuzunga accessories, from blankets and cushions to scarves and espadrilles.
