A Fusion of Ancient Craftmanship and Contemporary Design
The Inca Kilims are part of the Analogue Bitmap Collection, a series inspired by Cristian Zuzunaga’s journey to Peru in late 2015. During his visit, Cristian was captivated by the precision and intricate details of the ancient monuments at Cuzco and Machu Picchu. The remarkable craftsmanship and geometric patterns found in these historic sites left a profound impression, becoming the creative spark for this collection.
Each Inca Kilim is a tribute to these ancient wonders, blending traditional influences with Zuzunaga’s signature pixelated designs. Crafted entirely from 100% wool, these kilims are handmade in India by skilled artisans who bring Zuzunaga’s vision to life with exceptional quality and attention to detail.
Available in two sizes, 170 x 240cm and 200 x 300cm, these kilims offer an inviting balance of warmth, texture, and visual appeal. The collection embodies a contemporary interpretation of Peruvian heritage, combining intricate geometry and precision to evoke the spirit of Cuzco and Machu Picchu in a modern textile form.
With their unique design and artisanal craftsmanship, the Inca Kilims are a testament to Zuzunaga’s fascination with architecture, heritage, and the intersection of the digital and analogue worlds.
