Static Continuum translates the pixel from digital unit into physical action. Eleven shades of blue construct a horizon between sea and sky, while the word BARCELONA is built square by square in five tones of blue.
Drawn, masked and painted directly onto the architecture, the work moves between analogue and digital, image and system, repetition and variation. What appears from a distance as a pixelated image reveals at close range the process of its construction: measurement, numbering, tape, paint and hand.
The sea becomes a continuum—apparently static as an image, yet composed through difference, rhythm and accumulation.
